Klurfan Argentine Tango
Professional Dancer
Margarita
Klurfan was born in Buenos Aires. After a thorough education in
ballet, she vowed to Argentine tango, followed by the teachings
of Mingo Pugliese, Vanina and Roberto Herrera, Claudio Gonzales
and Ana Maria Stekelmann, who invited her to take part to Los Ensayos
show, with the Tangokinesis company, in 1997. In the same period,
Margarita Klurfan starts studying theatre with Beatriz Spelzini,
Eugenia Levin and Daniel Kuznieka.
Her
passion for dance led her to a deeper knowledge of diverse dance
styles and expressions: while still in Buenos Aires, she got to
develop jazz repertory – with Gaby Goldberg – and also the contemporary
style – studying with Giuliana Rosetti and Lolerley Postolosky.
She kept up with ballet, followed by teachers Luis Baldasarre and
Liliana Cepeda in Buenos Aires, and by Maria Ines Camou in Montevideo.
When she went to Italy, she took lessons from Patrizia Comini.
Thanks

The
organizers of national and international tango festivals often invites
her for stages and specific workshops. She also collaborated with
Festival Oriente Occidente, with Tangopolis Association of Rome,
with association Le temps du tango of Paris, with the Warsaw Tango
Academy, Tango im Fluß of Regensburg, besides with institutions
and dance centres of several other Italian and European cities.
Another
basic hue of Margarita Klurfan’s artistic profile is concerned with
her activity as a dancer in shows and performances, both live and
for TV and cinema screens, among which the most relevant are: a
tour in Bolovia together with Nestor Marconi, the show Tangou by
Anibal Pachano in Punta del Este and Montevideo, Paradis Tango by
Coco Dias in Paris, the several performances together with the musicians
of Piazzolla Project, the participations to “Festival Wakacyny”
in Poland, to “Festival Sani” in Greece, to “Tango Sardinia” and
to “Catania Tango Festival”.
For what concerns her experiences on TV and cinema screens, Margarita
Klurfan was in the cast of Carlo Saura’s movie, Tango, in 1997.
She also worked on a documentary on Eva Peron’s life, together with
actress Akiko Kuno, and under the direction by Hideya Yamaguchi
for the Japanese television group NHK.
Together
with her current partner, Walter Cardozo, she continues to collaborate
with various associations and school dances, taking part to festivals
and tango events, such as Bridge Project with musicians of Trio
Riverado in Berlin, Cracow and Warsaw (September 2003); Festival
Altlantide at Teatro Nuovo of Verona with the music group Tangox3
and the Orchestra Accademia i Filarmonici (March 2006); quartet
